Eternity Weeps, 1997, Jim Mortimore
A nice attempt at a Bond-esque thriller set in the Doctor Who universe, and you can see how this might have been a dry run for the the series of Benny adventures that Virgin started up after their license to do Who stories ended. It’s all right, but the mountain of bodies at the end, many of them the direct fault of the Doctor or his companions, plus a fairly unpleasant end for Liz Shaw, leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I’ve been wondering. Are all these books from your personal collection? Or are you picking them up specifically for this series? Your collection must be immense at this point. How do you keep them?

EVERYTHING featured in a “Paperback Book Club” post is from either my collection or Pete’s. And yes, we do have quite a few books. Since we moved not too long ago, they’re mostly boxed up in storage until we find a bookcase we like.

I’m envious. You keep listing books that I’d like to read, but I suspect I’d have to scour used bookstores to find them.

I have scoured every single used bookstore in my city and there are none of the New or Missing Adventures. All I could find were the Target novelizations, and of those, I found only inferior Fourth Doctor ones. Are these books ubiquitous in the UK?
