White Darkness, 1993, David A. McIntee
The Doctor, Ace and Bernice, in 1915 Haiti, fighting German spies, zombies and, just for good measure, the Great Old Ones. It’s easily one of the weirder and more “high concept” of the New Adventures novels, for good or ill.

Is that supposed to be Sylvester McCoy? Yeesh…
For good more than ill, in my case. Did a good job of being a “historical with benefits”, that is to say a genre piece proper to the historical culture used. I’d call that a David McIntee trademark.
