And this is why Religion is inevitably doomed. When the sheep start slipping through the cracks, you only have two options: Crack down or revise. Cracking down just squeezes ‘em out a little faster and revision just makes you more irrelevant.

So, given enough time, we can expect Christianity to be reduced to its only useful conceits: Love Thy Neighbour and Turn The Other Cheek.

Sadly though, probably not in my lifetime.

I'm pretty sure that's crazy--literally--but it's not my fight, so I shall merely look on in grim amusement.
