Timewyrm: Exodus, 1991, Terrance Dicks
If there’s a deadly sin the New Adventures line committed, it was the obsession with stories set in alternate time-lines and parallel worlds. This is the book that kicked off that trend, with the Doctor and Ace trying to undo Ishtar’s creation of a time-line where…wait for it…the Nazis won World War Two.

  1. No one ever has Japan win WW2. Why do geeks hate Japan so much?

  2. Baal says:

Because they think they already know all they need to about Nazis. With Japan they might actually have to do some research…

  3. There’s always Philip K. Dick’s The Man in the High Tower.

  4. Thom says:

Where are the alternative universe stories where Hitler is a warm and fuzzy benevolent leader who brings about peace and love? Or where Ghandi is a harsh and cruel dictator leading India on a violent bloodbath across the world?? Or where George W. Bush is the smartest man alive in a world of imbeciles??? Instead we keep getting “Nazi’s won WWII”, man, that is fresh.
